Conversations with Jack, Month 22

I don't know how long I'll keep this up. This month's conversation proved to be even more difficult than last month's.

You'll see that he again stares blankly at himself in the screen on the camera. He wouldn't count for me on camera. When he counts, he says, "4-6-7-8-9-10." I guess he's not that fond of 1, 2, 3 and 5. And I forgot to ask him how old he is, because it is adorable it when he responds "almost 2." Which is way better than "forty-nine" which is what he used to say.

So cute!!! Lucy's birthday is coming up too and she finally says "almost 3." For several months she would hold up all 5 fingers and say "5."

It's funny what you said about him counting - Kaitlyn has never liked the number 5. She'll count 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7..., but she ALWAYS has skipped 5. She'll say it independent of the other numbers, like "there are 5 apples," but she always leaves it out of the sequence when she counts.

Unless she counts backwards, then 5 gets to be included.

Weird.

Love it. My favorite part is when Jack says he'll be a big brother soon. You get to find out what you're having in what - like 2 or 3 weeks? yea!!

Oh, and I also liked it when you said "we'll see, but no." I'm going to try that one. ;)
