19 weeks . . . pregnant?

Last night, someone said to me, "You don't even look pregnant."

And while I know that person meant well, all I heard was, "It just looks like you're actually that fat."

So here is the photo of me looking 19 weeks fat. In one of the last two remaining pair of non-maternity pants that still button comfortably.

Click here to compare to last time.

Umm Sara, you look gorgeous and are the best mom ever so I say pooh pooh to the fat comment. I think my belly is bigger than yours... so what now.

I remember thinking the SAME thing! But it was probably worse (with my 3rd & 4th pregnancies) when people told me that I DID look pregnant when I was about 8 weeks pregnant! ...and then there were all of those "well-meaning" folks who insisted I MUST be pregnant with twins because I was THAT big and only 30 weeks along. It's funny how we think of things differently when we are pregnant!

I think your baby belly looks VERY cute!! Oh and I can tell that its baby and not Sara....

By the way your top is cute and am I the only one that gained strange creases/rolls on my back after having Will? Your shirt lays so flat and looks slimming!

You look great Sara, and I'm SO excited that you FINALLY posted a prego pic!! :) And I'm gonna have to admit here, that I FINALLY understand where you're coming from about the "you don't look prego, you just look THAT fat!". I did NOT understand this pre-pregnancy. I always have ADORED the way pregnant women look (and envied their prego bellies, so I only meant the best, but I didn't "get it".) I honestly don't think non-pregnant women mean that at ALL....seeing as how I was one of those until just a handful of months ago, but I DO understand now finally the sensitivity that non-preggers should have in their word choice to prego women. I've never felt more FAT than I did from about 17 - 23 weeks. Because you KNOW that people are unsure as to whether you are pregnant or "just fat" because no one says anything. Then, all of the sudden at 24-25 weeks, everyone starts commenting, so you know you finally appear to be carrying a BABY and not just getting CHUNKY. Anyway, so glad you posted a pic!! :) Keep 'em comin!! :)

I know... I couldn't wait until people started to comment on my pregnancy because then I knew I didn't just look fat.

I think your bump is very nice. ;)

Yes! Lissa and I were just discussing how she had the exact same experience with Gillian. And even after the baby was born, people were commenting that they didn't even know Lissa was pregnant!
