Favorite Books: Little Pea

Have you read Little Pea by Amy Krous Rosenthal? We love it around here. It's about a pea who has to eat all of his candy before he can have dessert . . . dessert being spinach. It's such a cute book and it's one of Jack's favorites.

We also love "Little Hoot" . . . an owl who wants to go to sleep, but has to stay until his bedtime.

Totally just read these books last week. Well I read them - Will played with Thomas while I perused the kids section at Barnes & Noble. While I read it I thought (no joke) "I wonder if Sara likes these books...I bet this would be a book she would buy for Jack" Really, I'm "that" girl. Did I buy it for him, nope...I left and waited. Not sure for what but now I know...for you to affirm my liking of it.
I seriously bought Gossie & Gertie after you "recommended" it.
So are you creeped out now? I wait for "permission" to buy books. Let's say a collective "oh my, this girl is whack!"

The owl one looks so cute! So does the pea one, but the owl one struck a chord. :)

Always enjoy reading your perspective on life with your two young ones. Thanks for taking the time to write. I will have to check out these books.

Okay, okay, I know I don't have kids, but ever since I discovered Little Puppy Learns to Share (probably when I was Jack's age), I've had a thing for children's books. So...I looked up Little Pea and Little Hoot and discovered Little Oink! The story about a pig whose parents won't let him leave his room until it looks like a pigsty. I love using the excuse, "Oh I'll have to read this to the kids I babysit," to revert back to the days of Eric Carle and Golden Book classics. So with that said, thanks, Sara. I'll have to read those to the kids I babysit :)
