As heard in a phone conversation a few hours after Friday's earthquake

Heather: Hello?

Me: Did you feel it?

Heather: NO!

Me: Shoot, I was hoping you'd tell me that you were buried under a pile of rubble.

Heather: Yeah, right . . . I can't feel my legs, but it was AWESOME.

    Well, I DID feel it....twice (first at 4:36 a.m., then at 10:15 a.m.). Very eerie waking up to that, but nothing in my house fell or broke. You know the CENTER of it was just about 2-5 miles from Laurie's house? She did have some stuff fall and felt aftershocks one right after another for quite some time afterward. Bizarre. Just felt like intense thunder rumbling that just kept going and going and going....and rattling everything in the house!
